(January 6, 2023) - On January 5, a Mass was held in Las Vegas at Guardian Angel Cathedral to remember and pray for Pope Benedict XVI. The Mass was led by Bishop George Leo Thomas, Ph.D., the bishop of Las Vegas, and was attended by over 300 people.
Pope Benedict served as pope from 2005 until his resignation in 2013 and passed away on December 31 at the age of 95. During the Mass, Bishop Thomas spoke about Pope Benedict's life and his dedication to putting God at the center of things and bringing others to the Lord through his writings and teachings.
After the Mass, several people gathered at a large portrait of the late pontiff to pray and offer their respects.
